Description

Imagine: you are driving on the motorway in a heavy downpour and you don't need to switch the wipers on at all. Raindrops run off the glass by themselves, taking dirt and dust with them. And in the morning, after a night frost, you don't need to scrape the ice: it comes off by itself with a single sweep of the brush.
Meet ceramic rain repellent Glass Coating by Platinum Knight. We combined two breakthrough technologies in one bottle so you can forget about poor visibility for a whole year. It is not just "water rolls off": it is full protection of your view in any weather.

Ultra Hydrophobic Layer technology: maximum hydrophobicity
"Super-slippery glass. Rain clears by itself"
Glass Coating is built on Ultra Hydrophobic Layer technology, a molecular lattice of nano-ceramic particles that bonds into the structure of the glass and creates a "super-slippery surface" effect.
How it works:
An ordinary rain repellent simply covers the glass with a film. Our formula penetrates the micropores, forming a chemical bond with the glass. The contact angle of the surface reaches 110-125°, which means water physically cannot linger on the glass.
What you get:
  • Lotus effect 24/7: Raindrops gather into perfect beads and are blown off by the airflow before they reach the driver's field of view. At 50 km/h the wipers become practically unnecessary.
  • Excellent night visibility: No "double vision" or glare from oncoming headlights. The technology provides crystal clarity without optical distortion.
  • Durability of up to 12 months on the windscreen: Unlike cheap alternatives that wash off after the second wash, Ultra Hydrophobic Layer withstands up to 50 car-wash cycles and aggressive road chemicals.

ANTI Dirty-Ice technology: protection from dirt and ice
"In winter the ice comes off; in summer the dirt doesn't stick"
We know that harsh winters are the main enemy of any car chemical. That is why we developed the ANTI Dirty-Ice technology. It is a unique additive complex that solves the two main problems of the cold season: ice freezing on and road dirt sticking.
"WINTER" mode:
  • Anti-icing: Ice and snow barely freeze to the glass. In the morning you don't need to scrape off a frozen crust: just sweep a brush across and the ice comes off easily, without scratching the surface.
  • Wiper protection: The wiper blade rubber does not freeze to the glass in the cold. Friction is also reduced, which extends the life of the wipers by 2-3 times.
  • Works at -25°C: The technology keeps its properties even in severe frost. The film does not crack or peel off.
"SUMMER" mode:
  • Dirt repellence: Road dust, dirt, insect marks and poplar fluff stick to the glass many times less. Now it is enough to simply wipe the glass or use the washer fluid: no ingrained stains.
  • Protection from road chemicals: Aggressive winter salts and de-icers do not corrode the glass surface or destroy the protective layer.

Preparing the glass

To get the best results, it is important to prepare the surface of your car's glass properly. Before applying the coating, clean and prepare the surface thoroughly. This ensures maximum adhesion and durability of the coating.
Step 1: Wash.
Wash the glass with a hand-wash car shampoo such as WASH&FOAM to remove static dirt. If necessary, use BUG&TAR REMOVER to remove ingrained contamination, insects, tree sap, etc.

Step 2: Remove water spots*.
Use a fine abrasive glass cleaner such as GLASS CLEANER. Spray a little water on the glass, apply the cleaner to an applicator and clean in circular motions. If the deposits are old, repeat the cleaning several times. If the water spots cannot be removed by hand, move on to the next step.
* - Skip this step if the glass has no water spot deposits or if you plan to polish the glass by machine.

Step 3: Glass polishing**.
If the glass is cloudy from the abrasive action of sand and wiper blades, or has water spots, polish the glass with a polisher and POLISH HARD paste to give it a smooth, even surface. This ensures good adhesion, which guarantees a long
service life for the coating and maximum protection.
** - Skip this step if the glass has no defects or contamination.

NOTE: Always follow the instructions and recommendations for applying the dirt- and water-repellent coating to avoid adverse effects.

How to apply the rain repellent?

How to apply the rain repellent?
Apply the rain repellent in a shaded, clean place. The surface temperature of the glass should be between +5°C and +24°C. Make sure you have the full application kit, namely:
- Safety glasses;
- Gloves;
- Applicator;
- Soft microfibre cloth for buffing the product.

Step 1: Apply the coating.
Apply the coating to the glass in a thin, even layer, using both horizontal and vertical strokes.

Step 2: Buff.
For 2-3 minutes (if the air temperature is above 25°C, reduce the time to 1 minute), buff the glass surface in circular motions with a soft microfibre cloth until smooth and glossy.

Step 3: Dry.
Leave the car in a shaded place for at least 24 hours so the coating can harden and bond to the glass. During this time, do not expose your
car to direct sunlight or wash it.
